Muir Woods & Sausalito
You'll have a great time on the Muir Woods & Sausalito tour which
visits two of Northern California's most beautiful attractions —
the famous redwood forest and an artsy town with fantastic views of San
Francisco Bay.
Your adventure begins as you cross the Golden Gate Bridge with spectacular views of San Francisco and the Marin Headlands.
This 550-acre National Monument is home to Coastal Redwoods, some of
the tallest and oldest trees in the world. Famed for the 19th century
naturalist, John Muir, this national monument features one of the very
few remaining groves of virgin Coastal Redwoods.
Next you'll enjoy visiting Sausalito — a small Mediterranean-like
village located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County
and home to some of the country's wealthiest citizens. Sausalito faces
San Francisco and has incredible bay views, boutiques, art galleries
and fabulous mansions.
>From here there are two options :
1. Stay with the tour and return back to San Francisco
2. Enjoy more time in Sausalito and ride the ferry back ($8 extra)
You'll find a variety of restaurants in Sausalito. You might even
decide to come back some evening for dinner while you enjoy watching
the suset over San Francisco.
